Jacqueline Regis is a first-generation immigrant from poverty-stricken rural Haiti, and has lived in the United States for nearly forty years. After completing high school, college and law school in the United States, Jacqueline currently works as a counsel in the corporate law department of a major American insurance company. Currently in her mid-fifties, Jacqueline has spent the past five years reflecting and writing on the long and difficult journey that has brought her to this point. The Daughter of L’Arsenal is Jacqueline’s first book. She currently lives in Golden Valley, Minnesota.
